During the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top communication apps in Venezuela on the Android platform showcased interesting trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced varying degrees of success in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Telegram from Telegram FZ-LLC saw a peak in weekly downloads at approximately 194K in early August, before gradually declining to around 65K by the end of September. The app's weekly revenue fluctuated between $239 and $530, peaking in mid-August. Meanwhile, weekly active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 950K to just over 1M throughout the quarter.

Numero: Travel eSIM & Numbers, developed by Smarteletec S.L., maintained a modest presence with weekly downloads reaching up to 3K in early August. Weekly revenue showed a gradual increase, closing the quarter at $251. Active users demonstrated a slight downward trend, starting at 1.7K and ending at approximately 1.3K.

Skype by Skype experienced a varied performance. Weekly downloads spiked to 2.5K in early August, while revenue ranged from $109 to $158, closing the quarter on a positive note. Active users showed a slight fluctuation, peaking at around 14.4K at the beginning of August before stabilizing at approximately 12K by the end of September.

LINE: Calls & Messages from LINE (LY Corporation) had a notable increase in downloads, reaching nearly 5K in early August. However, weekly revenue was absent from mid-August onwards. Active users varied from 80K to 100K, with a peak in late September.

Lastly, Onoff from Onoff Telecom had no reported downloads throughout the quarter but did record a gradual increase in revenue, peaking at $110 by the end of September.
